Showing his life in Chile and efforts in getting to the positin he achieved, from where he originally came..or let it all rest with better call Saul?

Nah. I think at least for me that appeal of Gus was seeing him in small doses because everytime he was on screen it felt important. Like the Joker in The Dark Knight. Too much overexposure and I think the character would feel watered down.

I agree. Gus was one of the best TV villans of all time. What made his character great was the curiosity of him. You would lose that with a show centered around him

Maybe not a full spinoff, but I agree I wanted to know more details about gus in chile probably more than I wanted anything else during bb. That story line was really interesting to me

Absolutely. I think there is unlimited potential for one

Nah. They already covered his origins during the show

Who was that guy he was with? The one that got shot in the head by hector. His brother, friend, lover?

Nope. Liked the character, but not enough to watch an entire series.

It was also implied and later on discussed by the producers that they may have been lovers.

I thought it was clear that they were jotos.
The Mexican drug lords weren't laughing about killing his cook, they were laughing about killing his boyfriend, isolating him and making a demonstration before going into business with him.

Hell, it'd never happen- but if you had Tuco, Uncle Hector & his bald physcho cousins on board, scripts could abound.

Tuco should absolutely have a show!!
Tight tight tight
Tight tight tight

A show about a younger Gus would probably mean a younger actor, which wouldn't be as good. I think a big part of the appeal of his backstory is the mystery about it. The show could end up making the character less interesting as we know more about his origins.

But everyone has seen BB already. How will finding out about a character's past that we don't know about, change what you watched?

jesus christ do u guys want spinoffs of every character on BB?
i think a Wire spinoff/prequel of avon and stringer's rise to power would be far more interesting

In fairness, it could work with the same actor.
But then again, I think the "interesting part" of the backstory is his rise after he met Don Eladio the first time.
His youth in Chile doesn't really interest me because we saw the "results" of that at the poolside. He was a naive businessman in over his head.
