Golf coverage complaints....

I have been watching the Farmers for the last hour and have yet to see any coverage of David Toms....tied for 6th at -6 and -4 on the day. Yet I have had to endure watching Phil walk down the fairway at +2 and probably missing the cut. Also just watched at least a one minute recap of Jimmy Walkers day who is also -6.

Good question. I saw a couple of shots earlier in the coverage.

He started on the Back 9...very few cameras on the front, which is where he is now.

Toms hasnt done much lately. He top 20'd or 22nd at Sony I think. But he remains there Saturday and he will get coverage.

I'm a Toms fan and I stand by my comment that he gets less TV coverage of any player in the top 25 of any tournament.

He's also on the North Course, which is only used for the first two days. So you're probably on the least populated section of the course with available cameras.
Phil also sells TV ads...Toms does not.

ETA: I get the advertising aspect of it, but as a Toms fan I want to be able to watch him when he is playing well.......screw Phil at +2.

It is worse watching every one of Tiger's shots en route to an 76. I get who sells the commercials, but I would like to at least see some shots from the front page of the leaderboard.

Exactly. I'm sure there's only one or two cameras on carts on the Front 9 of the NC. Phil is going to take precedent over Toms if neither are in the lead.
For the record, I'd rather see more of the leaderboard but I understand their decisions.

They just announced that tomorrow is "College Day" and the players are supposed to wear their college colors........unfortunately I will not get to see what David is wearing....

It's gonna be ok. I wish they showed more of the leaders too, but Toms isn't the only guy being ignored. Leishman, Glover, Laird and Poulter weren't shown at all either. The reason guys like Phil are shown, is because they bring in the viewers, and there are only a certain number of guys available to cover. Phil was in a featured group, which is why that group was almost shown in its entirety. Toms needs to work his way back into the top 150 of the world before he makes one of those.
