Cool. She must have seen something she liked. Interesting being that she is already in a foodie oriented area.

I really thought she was going to win it. I wasn't crazy about her personality, but it's an edited show. I thought she was extremely creative, particularly with injecting her native touches into dishes.

All she did through the first 3/4 of the show was may gnocchi or risotto. Dont remember which one but she literally cooked the same technique over and over again.

Yep. I wasn't a big fan of hers, but I'm all for more authentic Italian cuisine. Not sure if she would go that route or more of her native Island cuisine.

Not every dish, though she does call herself "gnocchi queen".

Yup exactly why I am not a fan of his either.

I haven't watched Top Chef since that season and that's the only season I've ever watched. Overall, I didn't care much for the show. Padma is a joke when it comes to food. I was convinced she is bulimic.

I really ignore a lot of the extra crap that comes with these shows and just watch them for inspiration on new ideas/techniques/flavor combinations.

As a long time watcher of the show, it was sad that the NOLA season was one of the worst. It had bad challenges, and one of the weaker overall "cast" of chefs.

Possibly the single worst season of Top Chef ever.

If I was a chef busting my arse in a hot kitchen night after night, getting burned, cut, burned out etc, and was then subjected to that gummy goldigger critiquing my food somebody would probably get stabbed. I can't stand her.

I only watched because some New Orleans chefs were involved. I don't think I can watch Padma once a week critiquing food. She's terribly annoying.

ETA: I find Master Chef Junior much more interesting.

Totally agree. It's one thing if Colicchio or Hugh or Blaze critique your food. It's another when it's Padma Kardashian.

Dont like that one. Gave up on the Ramsey cooking shows. And that is saying something because there are very few food based shows I dont watch.

This is only the second season of MC Jr. First one was great and so is this one. MC regular and Jr are the only Ramsey shows I watch. He's much different from his other shows. The kids on MC Jr are incredible.

That's pretty cool, I thought Nina should've won the finale. The dude that won was such a dickhead.
