Suffered for weeks. First went to doc and he said it was just dry skin. I can't sleep at night this stuff is so relentlessly itchy.

Can anyone tell me something that will help from experience? We bathe and shower here regularly so it ain't hygiene. HELP!!!

Scabies (from Latin: scabere, "to scratch"),[1] also known colloquially as the seven-year itch,[2] is a contagious skin infection caused by the mite Sarcoptes scabiei. The mite is a tiny, and usually not directly visible, parasite which burrows under the host's skin, which in most people causes an intense itching sensation caused by an allergic response. The infection in animals other than humans is caused by a different but related mite species, and is called sarcoptic mange.

Go to dr. Get cream. Apply over weekend. Use the weekend to wash EVERYTHING in your house.

A few of us got scabies in college from helping in a nursing home.
The doctor gave us a scabacide - a type of lotion to put on your body from your neck down. You wait 15 minutes and then wash it off (because it's not good for you). Here's the thing - you are itching because they burrow in your skin and lay eggs. You have to wait for the eggs to make their way out of your skin. The medicine will kill it but won't remove them.
Exfoliate...and take some anti itch medicine. It gets better.

As someone said above - WASH EVERYTHING.

Go to a pharmacy and get Nix. I don't think you need a prescription for it.
