NFL offseason oh how we've missed you

quote:

Colts ILB D'Qwell Jackson was arrested for assault in Washington, D.C. on Tuesday night. Jackson allegedly punched a pizza delivery boy in the face and in the back of the head in a fight over a parking spot. You can't make this stuff up. Jackson is being charged with simple assault. The Colts are on a record pace for off-field issues and have become the new Bengals. Jackson, 31, started all 19 games for the Colts this past season, playing over 1000 snaps. He was flamed in coverage. Jackson signed a four-year, $22 million deal with the Colts last March.

quote:

Cowboys RB Joseph Randle was arrested on drug charges in Wichita, Kan. on Wednesday morning. Details remain unknown, but this is Randle's second arrest in the past four months. As you may recall, Randle was jailed for stealing underwear back in October. This is obviously a much more serious arrest. With DeMarco Murray's Cowboys future uncertain, Randle isn't helping himself by breaking the law.

quote:

Packers NT Letroy Guion was arrested for possession of marijuana in Stake, Fla. on Tuesday night. It's apparently the NFL offseason. Three players were arrested overnight, including Colts ILB D'Qwell Jackson (assault) and Cowboys RB Joseph Randle (drugs). Guion was a steal for Packers GM Ted Thompon this past season, as he started all 18 games at nose tackle. The Packers had been in discussions to lock Guion up with a long-term deal before he hits free agency next month.

Damn. And he could be in line for a big year if Demarco walks and the Cowboys don't sign a FA.

Crazy how the two leagues have reversed roles since 2004.

Yet many seem to think they haven't.

Getting caught with drugs is more serious than stealing. I get it, but its funny reading it.

Guys like my dad who can see the tattoos on NBA players and think that equates to thug. He can't see it on NFL players because 1) They're so far away from the view if you're at the game and 2) They have more clothing on due to their uniforms. Ugh dad.

He doesn't like Monta Ellis because of "all those damn tattoos".

I like how the stupid media tries to drum up sympathy by saying "delivery boy." The guy is probably in his mid 20s, or even elderly.

I do not like him because he is from Lanier. Is that suitable enough?

Well apparently he also had a fun and 200,000 dollar in cash on him. So he probably wasn't just recreationally having some weed fun
