Caught ole boy in a bind. Was getting married at his house and the tank was in the way of a remodel. 57 gallon Oceanic rimless tank with overow. Acrylic refugium. Protein skimmer. $600 remote control LED lighting. 80# of live rock and about 20# of live sand.
Picked up the whole set for $175 and he's throwing in a RO/DI filter system and holding barrel for free. Cycling the rocks.
just in case you're wondering those rocks are $6.99 per #
Got over $2000 worth of saltwater stuff for $175.00.

Man that's a hell of a good deal. No that's a steal.
I've been wanting to build another saltwater system for some time now. Keep up posted on how it turns out.

Removed the live rock and sand today and put them in a big arse garbage can with flow over them to cycle them. Btw. Also came with two sea fans with bad arse controlled to make ocean like currently ts in the tank. $500 setup right there.

I always wanted to get into saltwater tanks. I have a 90 gallon planted tank I'm fixing to sell because it's too much maintenance and I have another kid on the way and need the room. So I guess the saltwater is out of the question.

Here's mine

That's a sweet deal you got.

Yeah man that's a heck of a deal. I work in the industry so I can get stuff pretty cheap, but I'm not to the point to where I want to commit the time. I'm probably gonna do a nano or maybe a 20 gal in the future.

I've got a 65 gallon one that's set up that you're more than welcome to.

I hate that thing now.

Ole boy has a 27 gallon curved glass Nano he's wanting to get rid of for Cheap. Has the HID LED light and everything. Probably accept like $200 for it.

Nice!
I almost got into it a few years back. Wanted a 150-200 gallon reef tank. I ended up getting into streetbikes and trackdays and put it on the back burner. Never did give it a go, but some day I will - maybe when I tire of my snakes.

Damn good price. Seems like a lot of work though- I'll do you a favor and take it off your hands for $200!

Seriously though, unless you're going BIG (as in over 240g), that 36x18 footprint is just about perfect.

My last tank was the same type- a 57g Oceanic rimless (I think the tank alone cost me what your entire setup cost you!) Mine wasn't reefready though; added a Glassholes overflow and drilled it myself.

Nice. I had something similar happen when my buddy broke his tank down. Gave me all his rock (~50lbs) and coral. Already had my tank set up though.

Thinking about doing an in wall setup at my new house In February.
