I just pretend that I read an article somewhere online instead of saying I saw it on TD. Most of my news about Louisiana comes from this site though , so I have to check myself before saying "yeah, I saw that on tiger droppings".

It's a pretty regular topic of conversation in my household - mainly because the people here are so freaking gullible.

I am aware of no one in my circles of acquaintances who knows that this particular window into the Ninth Circle exists. Hence no references in my civilian life.
