II thought this was going to be a 10 page thread on fat, flour, cast iron skillets, oven settings, microwaves and beer drinking.

We ate there on Saturday for a late lunch. It was pretty good grub. I had the skremps and grits and was impressed. I'm not a huge fan of having to de-head and peel a tail off of my own shrimp but the presentation looked nice. The grits were creamy and delicious and the sauce was spicy but not over the top. My kids both had beignets and my bride had the chicken biscuit and a cup of the gumbo. They liked theirs but for the price the portion sizes seemed small. I was very impressed with the bar options (I didn't drink though) all homemade ingredients and local if possible is pretty cool. I'd go back.

While you're waiting on Dark Roux, I'm waiting on Brown Butter.

I went for their once a month Pop Up Market thing. So some of the items I ate were speciatly from elsewhere, but I did have a few items that are on their normal menu. Very good. Want to go back for a regular dinner service
