I'm taking a class at Bearco in Covington on Saturday. But in an unfortunate turn of events, my instructor called me and let me know that everyone has dropped out of the class except me. I'm a bit disappointed as I've looked forward to this class for about 2 months.

Here's the course description:

Bearco Dynamic Focus Handgun

Round count for just 1 day is about 600 rounds.

I would love to get an OB-exclusive group together. Please sign up if you can.

And if you haven't done any "tactical" training like this before, be prepared to become a MUCH better shooter.

EDIT: Here is an email that was sent to me as well:

Gear to bring with you. I will have some available for common firearms, if requested early

-- Service firearm, 9mm or greater
-- At least 3 magazines for double-stack, 5 for single stack
-- 600 rounds of ammunition per day
-- A safe holster of good quality. Please wear a belt if you are borrowing a holster from us0
-- A way to carry two spare magazines on your person
-- Ear and Eye Pro
-- Portable chair
-- Plenty of liquids for hydration, I also will have water available.
-- Bagged Lunch
-- Shoes that can get dirty if the weather goes bad.
-- Weather appropriate clothing and possibly a spare change of clothes
-- Sun screen

I've taken his 2 day class and enjoyed it a lot. He's a great instructor and the class is based off of the Combat Focus Shooting curriculum developed by Rob Pincus.

Look on their site for their 2-day course round count and price. This is for the 1-day course though.

It's looking like I'm gonna be the lone student in this thing...

I wouldn't mind a handgun class that was like 3-4 hours, not 8:30 to 5-30, that's longer than my damn work hours.

I've got a feeling it'll be much shorter considering I'm the only student. Or if it were only 2 students it would probably still be short.

I would have to buy a mag. It's a HK so that is 20% up on price literally... Lol
