I can tell you've never driven one.

Asking this board for anything is pretty much a crap shoot as far as information.
I agree with this since most of the negative comments seem to be second or third hand. I still drive a ML350 4-matic that I've had for three years and have had no issues other than a break light bulb to replace. Routine maintenance has been less expensive than I expected and the service department here details it every time it goes in, so that's a bonus. The seats are stiffer than those in the wife's Audi, but I find that the Mercedes has held up better than the Audi in terms of showing wear. Aunt and uncle each had Porsche Cayenne's and got rid of both within a year. They had some maintenance issues, specifically with tires and alignment. They now have a Jag sedan and a Range Rover that they seem to be quite pleased with. I have friends that swear by the Lexus SUV that looks comparable to the ML350. Test drive them all, because there are certainly differences, some subtle and some not. I have, however, been thrilled with my particular purchase and hope I haven't jinxed the damned thing by bragging on it!

I just went through this with my wife. We looked at the GL450 along with the Q7 and Range Rover. GL450 was the biggest in terms of cargo space and the electronic 3rd row was nice. The interior is very nice, but the dash seems really busy with their stupid arse key pad for the phone. Handles okay. We ended up with the Range Rover though.

Punctuation always goes within the quotes. Can't even spell Jordan right and you're giving grammar lessons....

Audi Q5 or Porsche Cayenne---but I am partial to both these auto makers.

MB makes a fine automobile though. The "feel" of the drive can be as "German" as you want or as "Japanese" as you want, thanks to all having adjustable air suspensions now (at least in the mid size ones and up).

If you owned one you would know this to be as far from the truth as can be.
