Man asks cop, 'Hey, let me use your gun,' police say

A Boynton Beach Police officer was walking toward the station when a man yelled: "Hey, let me use your gun." The man told the officer he wanted revenge on people who robbed him, according to an arrest report.

Another officer walked out of the police station, and Hall turned to ask him whether he could use his gun, too, police said.

Police suspect the man, Deondrae Hall, 38, was intoxicated, the report said. Hall was arrested Thursday on charges of corruption by threat against a public servant, disorderly intoxication and possession of cocaine.

As the officers were handcuffing Hall, he threatened to go get a different gun and shoot them. When Hall was arrested, police found a bag of cocaine in his pocket, according to the report. He is being held at the Palm Beach County Jail on $5,000 bail.
