USA Today reporting that he was suspended for the Colts last two games and is likely to not return next season........how does a standout college RB become such a bust in the NFL?

Easy to run when you're a good athlete having truck sized holes being blown open by your o line. The guy has some horrible vision.

NFL refs don't cheat and let his O-line hold with impunity.

I really think his offensive line made him look better than he actually was.

Ironically, Senquez Golson will make more money than Richardson. Now isn't that something?

The Colts offensive line is terrible. Boom Herron isn't getting 100 yard games either. But Heron is a much much better receiver out of the backfield and is running a good bit better than Richardson too. That's because Herron is a hard worker and gives a shite about his football career and Trent is lazy and doesn't want to put the work in.

That's it. Trent is lazy and doesn't work out like he should and hustle. He could have been a great or at least solid back in the NFL but he's lazy and pretty much pissed it all away.

Ran behind a great OL at Bama. Has terrible vision and is really exposed behind OL in Clev and Indy that were okay at best.

No elite speed + no vision= running into the backs of O Linemen

Not so sure about that one. Richardson got drafted so high that it'll take a good career for Golson to earn as much as Richardson has gotten so far.

quote:

7/23/2012: Signed a four-year, $20.489 million contract. The deal is fully guaranteed, including a $13.341 million signing bonus. 2014: $2,252,708, 2015: $3,184,062, 2016: Free Agent

So Richardson is basically guaranteed to make another 3,184,062 next year whether or not he's actually playing for the Colts. The #33 draft pick last year got a 4 year contract worth 5.5 million. I've mainly seen Golson projected in the 2nd-3rd rounds.

Richardson is so overpaid that Golson will have a hard time catching up to Richardson. I really feel bad for the Colts GM. He looks like such a moron. BTW, Richardson's suspension will carry over to Week 1 next year if he's still on the Colts roster.

It's sad that some guys play just to get that 1st big paycheck and then give up. It really sucks for those teams who have to eat it. It is what it is though.

I always refer to carries for these guys. Saban runs them into the ground.
Lacy is the only one of these last 3 big guys to not get run down there and look how he's doing.
Ingram has started to come around, but let's not act like he lived up to his expectations.

Dude got paid. Didn't care anymore. Got lazy.

Happens all the time in the NFL.

You can make fun of the Alabama busts, but of their big 3 RBs, there is no doubt that he had the most raw skills and had the best chance of being a dominant NFL back.
