They are fine, for Chinese made boots. Try Double H.

I got a pair of Tony Lama's that I love. I have never worn ariats but my brother swears by them

The right answer is the boot that fits your foot correctly. On good cowboy boots that will be determined by the last it's built on. Of the common brands, Dan Post & Justin seem to fit...usually. Tonys are usually not right on me, but some lines fit fine.
BTW, I bought my Lucchese in '73. $195 back then was a ton of money for boots. I still have them and the fit unsurpassed. Be careful who does a full resole.

I wouldn't go with cowboy boots then. Looks unprofessional imo.
agreed. Unless the OP is an auctioneer or in some livestock related profession where this is an acceptable practice, I'd be hesitant to wear cowboy boots with a suit.

Ariat
The Hybrid Rancher
I love them. A man always needs him a nice, solid pair of boots.

Lucchese and Tony Lama, everything else is way down the list.

Lucchese is the best but most people aren't looking to drop $1,200 on a pair of boots
Under $200 is go Ariat

No love for twisted X?! Steel toes are Timberland and shite kicker are Twisted X. I'm in my 2nd pair and they're damn fine boots that hold up.

Pres. Bush once asked me if those were Ariats on my feet. I said yes sir good eye. He said he loves his Ariats.
If they're good enough for W they're good enough for me.

Don't have any Luchesse but all of my friends rave about them. My Tony Lama's are very nice though. Got some Justin's trying to stay on the cheaper side, and while I like them, I walked a hole in the sole in 3 months. That shouldn't happen. But even with $65 worth of new soles they're cheaper than the others. Besides the sole issue they're great too.
