Kershaw shallot looks badass.

I like it. Great value. It's very quick and quiet, very sturdy for a slim knife. Having to learn how to use it because of the blade type (keeps a great edge but used to a drop blade or similar). It doesn't suit my style(Boa was perfect for "grip and rip" underhanded).

Been doing some online browsing and have a few ideas for my next purchase...

Just found this one...

Meyerco Darrel Ralph Military X-Ray AUTO on sale for $75. It LOOKS like something I'd like, but I'm not really familiar with the brand. Its regular price is in the $120-$140 range. Anybody have any experience with one of these.

ETA:

Also considering:

Gerber Emerson Alliance

Zero Tolerance Rexford

Went with a Kershaw Brawler with assisted opening.

Love the weight of it and it opens fast as hell.

Almost snagged a Spyderco, maybe next go round.

Zero Tolerance makes some quality knives. I think I heard that Kershaw was going to start making a few, but idk. I owned one a while back and it was solid.

I had an 0350, and that was a stout knife. Not many people would be willing to carry it though because of the size and weight, but I have always carried big knives, so it wasn't an issue

This is my fav, Kershaw Scallion with half serrated.

Also available with black poly case, which is a little lighter, but I like the weight of the SS.

The pocket clip makes it much more comfortable to carry, rather than the weight jiggling around in my pocket.

I keep an extra or two handy, and give them as gifts often.

If you've never handled a knife with an open assist, you're missing out, along with the pocket clip, it's in RIP mode quick.
