Bill Simmons said if he had $1 billion that he'd buy the Pels

That would be awful. At least he would get exposed as a hack, though.

Better than Rita, a psychopath in a human skin suit like Ed Gein.

First of all, why am I not surprised that you hate Bill Simmons?

Secondly, I'm not actually proposing that Simmons buy the team. My point was just that there would be interest if the team did go up for sale.

Problem is outside of them who locally could purchase the team, sure it would have to be a huge partnership. Cause this is gonna not go well and the teams/fans will suffer. I was meaning before that if things nasty on all sides the NBA will step in. Forcing a sale is a wink wink thing. nFL gonna be on this also. They don't want to lose their best super bowl host city.

It would be pretty hard to sell both the Saints and Pelicans together. They would likely be split up which could be bad news for the pels. Some of those Seattle billionaires would love to buy them then move them when the lease it up. The only place that the Saints might move to would be a new stadium in NOLA, but the pels could be poached.

Randy Smith is an "interesting" lawyer. He's good at creative writing.

Gayle is probably one of the best things to happent to Tom in recent years. She helped save the NBA franchise in N. O.

It is very, very hard to overturn a will and testament. Judge Reese doesn't take any shite.

I'll be surprised if this thing lasts as long as some people think.

VOR, how will they overcome the irrevocable trust though? Pulling the teams' assets and writing an IOU is not going to hold water, right?

I'd like to know the full language of the trust rather than the excerpts in the petition.

This will not really affect the management of the teams I wouldn't think. They run pretty independantly, and Lauscha/Loomis have ridiculous amounts of power while Tom is still kicking.

Monty gone.
