Is Cam butt buddies with Les?

Have you known any of Les' buddies to be on the hot seat with 2 mediocre seasons?

No way Coach Cam should be on the hot seat. With TJ and Chi Chi on he field, our O will soar high this season #royal

one mediocre year with a new everything on offense and all of a sudden he's on the hot seat?

Mediocre would've drawn praise. Last year was unreal. At least recognize that.

The only way i see Cam ever leaving is when Miles gets fired or resigns.

Our passing game has been very pedestrian since Miles appeared on the scene.
CLM's teams place in many of the LSU top 5 passing categories.

probably

He is on a 3 year contract, unless there is some clear spark he will probably just move on.

His awesome season just happened to coincide with having a Top 5 WR and RB in the NFL (as rookies) on the roster as well as a QB that started multiple games in the NFL and another receiver that will likely be a Top 20 guy next year.

Not to completely dismiss the season, but come on...even an average SEC OC would have had a field day with that talent.

Les picks out the plays that are going to be run every game. Cam has to call those plays - his hands are tied.

Trying to come up with a plausible reason as to why anyone would believe this

He's not going to progress people he is at the top of his game bc his arm strength and accuracy will not get better and if it does it won't be that much. Cam can not help this but he was the only option we really had so they did the best they could with it.

Right now, No. If next year is the same, then yes. He's had one record breaking year and one bad year with young QBs.

I have to agree with you. My concern is that Cam is good in developing highly talented QBs in pro setting, but not so good in developing good/talented HS QBs into decent college QBs. If this is the case, then next season we'll see similar offense like the last one. Hope Cam proves me wrong!

My issue with Cam is he recruits these spread offense duel threat qb's and tries to mold them into Phillip Rivers or Joe Flacco. Here's a hint Cam, nobody runs a pro style offense in high school. Power high schools run the veer (Curtis, wm, Acadiana) or they run the spread. he needs to adapt his offense to the players he recruits or he can take his pro style O somewhere else.

Cam has recruited and developed exactly one QB at LSU.
