Is Cam on the hot seat after this season if the offensive output and QB play does not improve drastically?

I think you will be surprised at how much better the offense will be this year.

Les picks out the plays that are going to be run every game. Cam has to call those plays - his hands are tied.

There's no reason for him to stick around if he puts an offense on the field if it's worse or the same as this past season.

This should never happen at LSU, much less twice in a row.

He's been here for 2 years and one of those years produced a 3,000 yd passer, 1000 yd rusher and 2 1,000 yard receivers.

Even if this were true, which it is not, one of the main reasons Cam Cameron was hired (supposedly) was QB development.

He did well with Mettenberger. Quite obviously, this past year was a disaster.

What is concerning relative to Jennings, in particular, is that he did not seem to progress at all through the season.

Cam and Miles will both be squarely on the hot seat if we have a repeat of last season.

fricking this

one mediocre year with a new everything on offense and all of a sudden he's on the hot seat?

I agree with this. I think we will see less of the 1 and 2 WR sets with the TE's and FB, and more of the 3-4 WR sets, and maybe even a few Spread/5 wide sets.

We will not abandon the power game, nor will be become a spread team. I think when we have a lead late in the game, you WILL see the one WR set with two TE and a FB and we pound our opponent into submission.

I think things open up more in 2015!

Miles has staked his future on Cam and Steele. All could be on the hot seat at the end of the season.

Our passing game has been very pedestrian since Miles appeared on the scene. Our opponents focus on the run game and don't fear a passing attack.

The constant has been HCM.
