For me it would be

1. Radiohead - OK Computer - This is the album that really got me into rock music. I was into rap befre I heard the song Paranoid Android which led me to buy this album, which got me into rock music. Every song on the album is great, can listen to every song on the album over and over and it doesn't get old.

2. Neutral Milk Hotel - In The Aeroplane Over the Sea - Was so different than anything I'd heard up til that point, especially lyrically. A msterpiece.

3. Radiohead Kid A - Rarely does a band deviate so much from their original sound and have it end up being just as good if not better than what they did originally. This album was so different from anything at it's time and I love every song on it.

4. Modest Mouse - The Moon and Antarctica - Just a great album.

5. The Strokes - Is This It - Great album to put on and drive to, instantly puts me in a good mood.

6.Tool - Aenema
7.Panda Bear - Person Pitch
8.The Pixies - Surfer Rosa / Come On Pilgrim
9.Tom Waits - Swordfish Trombnes
10.Neko Case - Black Listed
11.Nirvana - Bleach
12.Animal Collective - Feels
13.Ugly Cassanova - Sharpen Your Teeth
14.Wu Tang Clan - 36 chambers
15.Alvin Band - Mantis Preying

I'll save the all time greatest for another thread. Currently, the vinyls getting the most spinning time are:

1. Jethro Tull - This Was
2. Cream - Disraeli Gears
3. Big Brother and The Holding Company - Cheap Thrills
4. Frank Zappa - Sheik Yerbouti
5. LZ - Presence

Obv. if were talking best of all time the list isn't going to look like that (I listed vinyls that I own only.)

No list of favorites is complete without a mention of LZ II and DSoTM (among countless others...)

I guess this might be a solid list. The ones in bold probably rise to the top. In particular, Ween is one of my favorite bands, but it's hard to pick a single album or even a couple that really rise to the top. My favorite of theirs really depends on what mood I'm in. Same can kind of be said about Zappa too in terms of favoring a particular album depending on mood, but I think the two I listed are probably a little set apart. Overnite Sensation is just great from start to finish, and Apostrophe was the first Zappa album that I bought.

Jimi Hendrix Axis: Bold as Love
Frank Zappa Overnite Sensation
Bob Dylan New Morning
Ween Chocolate and Cheese
Frank Zappa Apostrophe
The Beatles Abbey Road
The Kinks Give the People What They Want
The Kinks The Village Green Preservation Society
Return to Forever Romantic Warrior
Leon Russell Carney
Leo Kottke Ice Water
Nas Illmatic
Funkadelic Standing on the Verge of Getting it on
Bela Fleck and the Flecktones Live at the Quick
The Polyphonic Spree Together We're Heavy
Mr Bungle Mr Bungle
Ween The Mollusk

Yeah man, for me "Camarillo Brillo" is really as good as a song gets. There may be some songs equal to to it but nothing is superior.

Dylan uses a lot of organ on New Morning. I just think it blends beautifully. Those other albums you mentioned are undeniably great also, but they just don't hit me in the feels the same way.

Our tastes are pretty similar. I'll go top ten (unranked, only one per artist):

Neutral Milk Hotel- In the Aeroplane Over the Sea
Built to Spill- Perfect From Now On
Modest Mouse- The Moon and Antarctica
Pixies- Doolittle
The Clash- London Calling
Bob Dylan- Bringing It All Back Home
The Dismemberment Plan- Emergency and I
Panda Bear- Person Pitch
The National- Boxer
The Kinks- Village Green Preservation Society
Titus Andronicus- The Monitor

that's actually 11, oh well. Cutting it there was tough enough.
