I'd put some cameras up on entry points an approaches, this would allow you to know if he is using land. i'm not saying to go on the offensive, but there are def some ways that this could be handled.. most of which might be frowned upon, but not illegal.

get a cheap one and put it in sight, put better one out of sight and able to cover approaches and cheap cam... anything goes missing and it's on camera...

I'd get a camera to text me pics with motion like that and be out there to snag a poacher coming out of the woods.. with a cop or a shot gun.. either way

You can get a camera for like $279 plus (SIM card and prepaid phone card for another $35. At Wally World.)
It will send pics to phone and is 3G black out as well. Check out HCO SPARTAN Cameras. Not cheap but they are small and hide well. Might get a used cheap camera as a decoy? I hate poachers and trespassers!
