I wonder why throughout the game we don't run offensive sets for him. OT he took one shot and he's our best shooter that's crazy. It's also sad when your bench player who's not knowing for his scoring leads the team in scoring.

Maybe because we run very few offensive sets during the game.

My thoughts exactly. Hornsby is a player.

Why don't we ever penetrate the paint or post up.... All they do is pass the ball around then shoot up an aberrant 3 or jump shot.... Really no gameplan at all

Well ordinarily wed be a fool to not run our offense through martin and Mickey. With tonights game Jones needs to seriously rethink his rotations and game plan.

I think he may be the best player on the team.

That's a really good question considering how we barely have any ball movement towards the basket besides all of the guards passing to each other behind the 3 point until 5 seconds on the shot clock where they start panicking the make a shot. That was probably a run-on but idgaf.

Jones has them running variations of the Will offense that every junior high in the country runs. Don't believe me? Just watch.

I think JJ is honestly worse of a coach than Monty Williams. Never ever thought I would say that.

It is against J. Gray's religion to pass the ball instead of committing so many turnovers?

just like last year. This is JJ's offense.

True. But Mizzu was playing tight in the paint. Good plan on their part

Looked like Mickey and Martin were forcing the ball when they did get it inside... Mickey mostly, taking bad shots... Damn near all 5 guys would collapse on him and had at least 2 guys open damn near every time he got it. Instead of kicking it out for an open jumper he would try to drive against 3-4 guys...

I don't blame Mickey or Martin for taking bad shots. When a jr high offense or really no offense is established you have to beat the clock. I don't see nearrrrly enough designed screens or isolation play to blame them for dumb shots. I'd LOVE to see a half court set (when the fast break isn't there) ran and actually have fluent ball movement. I think it would be devastateong to opponents.

They were a bit of a black hole on offense. What goes in doesn't come out. Mickey didn't even look at times.
