quote:

Pendergast remains in the running for Washington State’s defensive coordinator position (with a small number of others). With a decade of experience calling plays in the NFL and the Pac-12, Pendergast would be a good hire for Mike Leach in his quest to pair the nation’s seventh-rated offense with something other than the nation’s 99th-best defense. We hear a decision is expected in a few days.

Uh...this tells me that if LSU wanted him, they could have had him. He wouldn't choose Wash St over LSU...would he?

If the best job he can pull while being unemployed is Washington State then there is something we are all missing on the guy.

If that move happens, then we know who told whom to F.O. in the conversation between CP and Les.

Man! And to think he could have come here and molded a top 15 defense with a bottom of the barrel offense. Wooo! We already have that. Never mind.

Well, I was told that NFL teams were paying him crates of dollars just to consult for them with his defensive brain.

Yep we said no to him. This reminds me of the rant group think about Jon Tenuta way back when. The rant was 100% sure we were screwed because we said no to Tenuta and then he does absolutely terrible at ND and gets fired.

Enjoy that job. Not a place I would want to relocate to Pullman. The school has no history of winning, lame town and just overall not much upside to it.

I was on board with CP until I saw the thread with his yearly stats. His defenses were great the first year and then gradually got worse. Very Crowton-like.

And yes this reminds me of Tenuta 100%.
