Yeah i mean nothing says program on the rise like a 3-9 team with a disgraced coach. THATS job security.

Les went 8-5? frick that, better go work for a coach that is 12-25.

First post reply in this thread was all sarcasm in reaction to op suggestion not to melt.

Not being sarcastic anymore, see my post above this one.

I even started a thread several days ago titled "Tell Me Why Pendergast Is Good?" Got a lot of people pleading his case. NFL genius.

PULLMAN is as close to Heaven as you can get without actually realizing you are there. For the first time Washington St hasn't Coug'd something up.

He obviously wants to stay on the left coast especially if he is caring for a parent.

Must be something to this guy that is underwhelming if he ends up in Pullman, WA.

That, or he preferred to stay out west. It's a possibility. And even though WSU isn't very good, at least it is a PAC-12 program. There aren't as many schools out there, so there are only so many jobs open. This is just a theory, of course, but it may explain why he may end up there.

I don't think there were any. I was being smarmy about people claiming Les botched hiring a guy who was sought after by all these teams, including NFL.

Washington state is about as far from Arizona as BR, for all intents and purposes.

Enjoy that job. Not a place I would want to relocate to Pullman. The school has no history of winning, lame town and just overall not much upside to it.

Bama once hired the Wazzu head coach after he won 10 games and got them into the Rose Bowl.

Pullman is actually a very nice town if you like small towns. My brother lives there and his family loves it. Small towns aren't for everybody though. It's definitely the hardest place in the Pac 12 to recruit to but that isn't because Pullman sucks but rather because it's a long damn way from where all the talent on the West Coast resides.

They have 46 kids on the current roster from California so apparently the Pirate is getting his fair share of 2 stars to come to the Palouse.

I'd be a little surprised if Pendergast took the job but he may be desperate. If he can succeed there, he can succeed anywhere.

Caring "for a parent"

Not "as a parent" or whatever you read.

Y'all can take this for what it's worth but I spoke to someone on the team about an hour ago and they are starting to hear rumors that Pendergast will in fact be the DC @ LSU next year

I'm not sure 100% what kind of info gets told to the players, or if it's old news that made it to them, but I spoke someone who is going to be a senior next year and that's what he told me...

I know nobody is going to believe me but yall can TIFWIW
