I'd probably go with the XDS, but I'm not really a conceal guy.

Tikk...never mind.

Handle all 3 and pick the one that fits your hand.

I have and all three work well - just looking for real life impressions - Tikka rifles suck

I want to look at the Walther CCP before I make up my mind but the Shield is my number 1.

I'm a smaller guy, and my Shield conceals very well. Also fit my hand the best.

Another one in that range you may want to consider is the walther pps. I bought one about 1.5 years ago to carry. Fits my hand perfect. Of the ones you have posted the only 2 I have dealt with is the shield and the xds and they were both nice.

Shield
XDs
PPS
CM9

etc.

Any quality single stack 9mm will suit you well. I can say from personal experience that the Shield is quite easy to shoot. For an IWB gun, it's tough to beat.

I'd go with the XDS or Shield if those are your only choices.

I think the Sig P938 is an all steel gun - heavy to pack all day, and higher maintenance to keep it from rusting - especially in the hot, humid Louisiana summers.

Also check out the Ruger LC9s Pro. It's the newest CC pistol out.

Like the LC9s, the LC9s Pro features a newly designed striker action that delivers a short, crisp trigger pull to improve accuracy and performance.

personally i don't like the idea of manipulating a safety on my conceal weapon. so that leases the shield (i think you can get a shield without the safety? if not at least you wouldn't have to use it.) and the XDS which are both good choices for single stacks if you must go that route.

i carry a Glock 19 and can easily conceal it with a t-shirt in summertime so you have nothing to worry about with your choices as far as concealability

I'd go with a Shield with the Walther a close second. I love shooting both, but am a better natural shot with the Shield. That's a big factor when you are concealed carrying and drawing/shooting very quickly

In before "pick the one that feels best."

Oops, too late.

Love my 938. Flawless shooter right out of the box shooting reloaded ball ammo and JHP. Only gripe is the ambi safety.

My three biggest gripes of the standard LC9 fixed/gone:

1. Thumb Safety
2. Mag Disconnect Safety
3. Crappy Trigger

This thing will be a great competitor to the Shield!
