How does it reflect on Miles? Does the criticism die down for a while or does he get an asterisk in fans' minds for not developing said QB?

Im also assuming Shoop coaches the D in 2015.

Wouldnt really be developing anything. More of a temporary fix.

There are a couple of 100 posters here proclaiming to be LSU fans would not give Miles credit for a NC if he winds up turning Jennings into a Heisman winner and we go 15-0 next year.

Is this a real question. There is nothing Miles can do to quiet the detractors. They have been vocal since 2005. Some in our fan base will never like him, and will never give him credit.

You're on a shaky limb with these assumptions.

One being that Shoop is hired.

The biggest being that Golston brings LSU a title. Turnover machine. Miller has been seriously injured and not played football in a while.

To answer the question though, both. Miles heat dies down but he receives a large asterisk for the fact that he still hadn't developed his own qb.

Shoop to DC.
Brick out.
Ogre to DL.
Braxton to QB.
Mills/Hawkins/Vadal/D.Hunter all return.
LSU pounds everyone including Bama twice.

It's almost too easy.

It's like people post this crap in shifts. Some guys stop, another group is ready to pick up the slack.

The Miles heat would die down for 2 seasons. That's all Gene Chizik had to right his plummeting ship.

It says he understands that he can't recruit or develop HS QBs, but will bring in an already developed QB if he thinks it will help the team win.

I am no Miles fan, but there is no way your scenario should reflect poorly on him
