Is this the worst movie of all-time? I just rented it and was really excited about it. Zero clue what it was about; actually no idea. Was I supposed to take LSD or something before this?

I hated it the first time I watched it and then a buddy of mine told me to watch it again with a different mindset going in. So I watched it again and couldn't make it the whole way through. It's excellent acting but I just find it extremely boring.

It was weird. I didn't like it. Coked out Jaoquin improvising isn't quality acting.

I saw it for the performances, but it will be a long while before I see it again, if ever.

hyperbole is at an all time high.

This isn't a good film but it does have some great acting.

Not even in the top 30 worst films of the week let alone all time.

For some reason, I bought it on Blu Ray when it came out (I had seen it in theaters). I haven't been able to make myself watch it again.

If it's not, it is near the top.

That's why I immediately discredit any post that includes "of all time."

"I didn't understand this movie because I halfway paid attention to it while playing on my laptop. It's the worst film of all time."

Strictly my take on it, but it did leave me with something and got this point across very well. If you watch closely, every single person is crazy. The cops are probably the most sane. It proves that everyone is nuts in one way or another and does a very good job of displaying how really everyone has some sort of mental illness going on.

If I had to guess, it's probably because he hasn't really seen that many movies to begin with.

Movies should have more than just great acting. Phoenix and Hoffman were both incredible (I don't have a clue how Phoenix does some of the ticks with his mouth but he's unreal).

However, that movie had the worst combination of writing, pacing, plot, and connectivity I've ever seen. Legit if you picked 15 Youtube videos at random and played them back-to-back they might make more sense than that movie.

Such hot garbage.

It is up there. Totally incoherent plot, jumbled mess of a story. Great acting with no substance. Just a true disgrace for one of the most respected directors in Hollywood (though I think most of his movies are terrible).
