LSU passing game ahs been inconsistent this year and question marks remain at the QB position.

They've had to rely on the run so much, why can't they run a scheme like Georgia Tech's which averaged about 340 yards per game on the ground. Or does LSU lack the OL and RB's to make it happen?

That offense is a lot harder to install than you'd think. Plus you would need a coach that fluent in running it. Not a realistic option

I have called for the triple option at LSU for years. We saw what it can do to SEC teams. It would work really well with our personnel

Ga Tech has to be creative given it already has major recruiting disadvantages to overcome. LSU doesn't have that problem.

Louisiana pumps out so many stud receiver prospects each year, and we'd essentially be hanging a "WRs need not apply" sign over the football ops center.

Well if we are going that route...how about we just run the veer offense and just recruit players from John Curtis

Our offense , good or bad. Is a pro style offense. That's is what gets the recruits and gets them to be successful in the NFL. GT doesn't put many guys in the NFL that produce, except CJ

It would never work here. You have to have a QB who can recognize more than one option.

Unless we hire Paul Johnston, this thread is meaningless...

We do have a triple option offense.

3 options:

Jennings
Fournette
Dural

If any big time program should have installed the triple option it's Nebraska. Know why? They can't get SEC and Pac 12 caliber recruits to Lincoln.

That is not a problem LSU has, fyi.

You could put in a limited triple option package very easily. It is just a matter of repetition.

GT's offense is way harder to coach than the 1972 Michigan offense that we run.

I'm not a proponent if running it at a place like LSU but Cameron ran a lot of triple option at Indiana with Randle El.
