Other insiders don't think he will make it.

He may think that Steele is only one who could actually consider coming here while the others would be to much of a long shot for it to happen.

I've posted it before so I don't like it again but Shea Dixon thinks that Steele is a stretch, because of two things.

1) He loves it at Bama, Saban wants him to stick around.
2) Because of 1 it would take a lot of money to get Steele.

I think what is obvious from all of this is that CP within a few days will be our Defensive Cordinator. We may also get Coach O as the DL coach.

My guess is he is estimating the chances these guys come.

He knows Steele is being considered, and because he fits well, in his mind he thinks it is a good chance if CP falls through.

Based on what I've seen Shae Dixon say I don't think we go the Steele route.

Since Pendergast is alleged to be good at stopping zone read I'd say this is good news. I'm not a big O fan but I could live with him under Clancey

Clancy and Orgeron - quit messing around and upgrade the situation.
Then deal with the freaking offense so we can have a shot to win it all

So what's the scuttlebutt on Pendergast? Since he is currently unemployed, I assume there is dialogue? Is there progress, or is he holding out for other opportunities?
