He can't win in a league with such parity. He tried the NFL and was mediocre at best, but then again, the Jets would be fine with that.

YOu must be forgetting about Pete carroll's first stint in the NFL. Mediocre. Hell look at his records before he got Russell Wilson... Had Saban gotten Brees like he wanted, he'd still be in Miami

Good thing the Pats passed on Belichick. That dude sucked in Cleavland.

There's some good old fashioned New York arrogance. Just pick Nick. No problem.

No way I would go to that sewer pit, taxes are way to high. Lil Nicky has it made in Bama. You think they'll buy him a house as well in the "Can't breathe" State?

The Jets and the Bears should be breaking the fricking bank to get Saban.

Remember, Belichick wasn't a world beater his first stint as a head coach (Cleveland), nor was Pete Carroll (NE and Jets).

Nick can't handle the big city. NY media would run him out of town.

Good thing he has a HOF QB, because that is what basically revived John Fox's career.

Pete Carroll was not as successful his first go round in the NFL as his current stint, but he did make the playoffs twice in 3 years with New Engkand, wo the division once, and won a playoff game. And lol at even putting Russel Wilson in the same sentence as Drew Brees. Carroll wins in Seattle because of his defense. Wilson is a game manager, not one of the best in the league. He's not asked to carry his team. Yes he's been much better than people expected but he's not a guy that would have done much at all without the best defense in the NFL

I agree with this, but he should have taken Brees, not Culpepper. How could Brees fail the physical with the Dolphins and not the Saints.

The better question is: How could Culpepper have passed the Miami physical?

Jets and Bears should try to get Saban but neither is a good fit for him.

Doesn't want to face off vs Pats back in the AFC East. Neither team has a QB.

The one that totally makes sense for Saban is Atlanta. Franchise QB is in place along with star WR. Blank can write the huge check. It's a division which is down right now and he could easily establish dominance.

Fwiw, I heard (no link) from a friend last year "don't be shocked if Saban winds up with the Falcons". That was before all the Texas stuff. This was the same person who told me Saban would be the Alabama coach 2 months before it happened. I haven't heard anything since.

Part of Saban's problem in Miami was that he could not control his players.

At Bama he can jump and scream and intimidate these young players...but not grown men as shown in Miami.
