I've been struggling hard with alcohol. Everyone says I need impatient but I think I can handle it with IOP. For those of you ya'll that have been here, what are your thoughts? I'd appreciate the smart arse comments be kept to a minimum because this is very serious to me.

Are you pretty hungover now and having serious regrets, because that typing job was awful.

And, if everyone thinks you need inpatient, it's probably serious enough that you do.

This isn't even worth taking about. The only way inpatient treatment will help is if YOU think you need it.

I've seen hundreds try "IOP" and fail, good luck.

Do you want to really stop or are you trying to stop because everyone thinks you should?

Get a hobby or two that you enjoy more than just sitting around drinking and that's easier to do not being hungover. Time will eventually phase out the alcohol with the new, more productive hobby.

If you're serious and you actually posted that info here, I think I'd listen to everyone else and not what you think. What you think is what got you to where you are.

If everyone is saying inpatient, it's really out of hand. You've done the hardest thing....recognized it's a problem. Now, don't short change yourself by trying IOP first. Go all in. Good luck, Supa!

Dude straight up, try and give it up. Give going to meetings and have an open mind.

Like I tell everyone. Go completely cold turkey. Do it for 6 months hardcore. See how you feel physically and even more importantly mentally.... if you don't like the way you feel, go pick you up a bottle Baw and do some work on it.... The drinking and partying ain't going anywhere. It will be there waiting for your return

Good luck with it all

i'd go with inpatient rehab and the feedback you've received from those close to you over the feedback of anonymous message board posters who have zero weaknesses.

This, if you really want help. You can lead a horse to water, but can't make it drink.
