internet probably ruined sec 120 but it didnt ruin venice
Sec 120 is a whole different animal. I think loosing Spanish Lake has taken a big tole on that too.
WLO has definitely taken a big hit in pressure in the past few years. It's a much easier boat ride and less highway time for most people than Venice.

That's why I love biloxi the last 3 hunts I made second split I haven't seen another hunter. 50,000 acres all to my self it feels like out there.

I wish there are hunters at times to get the birds moving.
Be careful what you wish for!

You do realize they have pit blinds in the marsh dumbass. Don't act like you are holier than thou duck hunter who only hunts public land and works harder than everyone else to kill a few.

No I wasn't out there. Hunted out there yesterday. Dayno, trust me Biloxi isn't an area that will get a lot of pressure. The boat rides are long, the ducks are mostly greys which get very spooky 2nd split. Novice hunters won't go through those headaches. I've been hunting it for the last 12 years and its the same story every year.

5 man limit this morning. Mainly teal with a few grays in our spots. Luckily, those spots werent far from the camp. At times, you couldnt see the teal until they were 20 yards from the boat.

This north wind coming in will help blow some of this fog out. That south wind is brutal on venice in the winter.

the number of people really hasn't grown that much out there since Ive been hunting the place. The amount of huntable land has decreased dramatically over the last 30 years. Before the spraying and burn the WLF did last year there was very little hunting areas

That maybe true about the hunters, haven't hunted there much, but it was packed during the first spit. Fourchette and salvinia are going to turn that place into Maurepas Swamp II

I don't think that will be an issue. Too much saltwater back there for one and the tides can be pretty drastic back and blow a lot of stuff out. Remember one side is Lake Borgne and the other side is the gulf.

Yeah that was in reference to section 120 rd in Sherburne not Venice.
If opening the Morganza Spillway didn't purge that invasive vegetation out not much will.

Yesterday was thick. We waited until daylight to run, and even then it was sketchy.
