An ambulance isn't going to respond to a scene that's as unstable as that one, fwiw. Protesters throwing fireworks towards gas tanks and assaulting police officers leaves them no choice. If anyone is to blame under this scenario, it's the protesters.

I'm not that worked up over the ambulance, except that it'll be the thing that protesters and their ilk will cling to as a sign that "black lives don't matter" to cops. He should have called for one if it was possible, because he's supposed to and because of the optics.
But like I said before: Don't pull a gun on a cop in this situation, and you won't be in a position to need an ambulance.
