Br police also used to clear the roux house every night by raiding it at exactly 2 like it was bin laden 's compound and physically push everyone out. There was also a summer in college when they'd clear Tigerland parking lots at 2:10 with a nice breeze of pepper spray or some shite.

Its sad that today's generation of kids don't respect the authority of the cops.

Do they have a case against BRPD? Probably not.

Could they get charges dropped? Probably so.

Your friend is probably charged with "remaining when forbidden".

I've had something similar happen to me, but I was being a dick. Charges dropped anyway, because being a dick isn't against the law.

I guess you haven't watched any of the Ferguson coverage.

This seems surprising. By that, I mean, I'm guessing there were numerous people involved. What if everybody wanted a copy...the manager just starts burning discs of their surveillance video?

How about your friends do what the guy in furgueson, the fat guy in NYC, and the other guy in Missouri should have done, follow the cops orders. Who fricking cares about right and wrong, just do what the cop says. Come back later and close out your tab. Being inconvenienced, is a much better outcome then a) being maced, b) being cuffed, c) ending up like the three mentioned above, d) worrying about coming up with a law suit.

Its really fricking simple.

It sounds like your friends, at least many in the group, had worn out their welcome and could not tamp it down a bit when requested to do so by the staff. Dude goes out and pisses by the door and that was the final straw. Cops called. Sure the manager or owner did not ask the cops to allow them to come pay up before they made them leave. They wanted them gone....then.....at that moment. Just get them out and we will eat the tab. Friends wanted to exercise some drunken control of the situation. You know "I'll leave under my terms.....which includes paying my tab and mouthing off at the staff inside for calling cops on us." No, they have no case. Just stop being douchebags.

So 15 patrol cars to clear way for the ems to treat a drunk lady wasn't great police work?
