Haven't seen any morphing re: philosophy. He certainly takes a LOT of time off and I don't listen to any subs except Mark Steyn.
But then again, I can think of one distinct philosophical change over the last 5 years. I was a big Neal Boortz from way back. Boortz always said the the US polity was doomed because Americans were getting more stupid over time.
You can think the movie "Idiocracy." Rush, OTOH, said "I always have faith in the American public."
I believed Boortz and did not believe Rush. Americans are dumb as dirt and getting dumber.
About 5 years ago Rush changed his tune and adopted that of Boortz. Boortz used the term "Dumb Masses". Rush started using the term "Uniformed voters." He didn't want to use the word 'stupid'.
Boortz had no problem with calling Americans stupid. They are.
Rush has been going into gradual retirement for several years. I predict that next year he will average 3 days a week.

Idris Elba is a very famous actor and is popular amongst black people. Perhaps the producers of James Bond feel they can bring the story of James Bond to a larger audience, and therefore make more money, with Elba as the lead instead of another white actor.
I didn't say I agree with them, but that seems to me to be a logical reason, no?

Did anyone even read the emails??? Weren't they discussing the fact that the racist European audiences would never accept a black bond? How would a black Bond reach a larger audience?

His present contract runs through August 2016, and for $400 million for the three year contract it is doubtful Cumulus Broadcasting agreed to a reduced schedule.

No.
That's an illogical reason.
Many black people already go to the James Bond movies even though James Bond has always been portrayed by a white man.
If James Bond is portrayed by a black man, how many more blacks will go compared to the number of people who won't go?
I refuse to watch the TV program Elementary because Watson is portrayed by a woman and I would refuse to go to a James Bond movie if James Bond is portrayed by a black man.
That has nothing to do with racism and sexism.
It has to do with not liking them changing the "gender" or race of fictional white characters just so the role can be given to a woman or a black man not for a legitimate reason which would make the TV show or movie more entertaining.
