Found this store in Hot Springs, Ark. Bought some that day and have ordered since. I've tried a lot of the soaps and they are all good. The aftershave is great! The smell reminds me of old school barber shop!

I use the CO Bigelow tube and have used a few of the Taylor of Old Bond Street.

When I was up in Natchitoches for the Christmas Festival recently, I walked into the Bath House Soaps shop. Their stuff seemed to be pretty good quality. Their website kind of sucks, but I'll be ordering one or two from them in the near future. Specifically their No 9 scent was my favorite.

Multi-blade razors that are designed to lift hair and cut below the level of the skin are stupid. As are the prices that people pay for them.

I have used TOBS avocado, sandalwood, and almond. All are awesome.

Proraso and CO Bigelowe are the same. Proraso is the Italian original and has the full line. CO only has the green to my knowledge. It is awesome. Eucalyptus is a little "refreshing". I've used Bigelowe green and Proraso red (sandalwood). The red smell is not the best but is ok.

Art of shaving is good and available. But overpriced. Just IMO but you pay near Truefitt price for Proraso caliber stuff.

Kiss My Face key lime flavor is awesom and available at whole foods type stores. It smells like a key lime pie. Almost exactly.

Have a tube of Omega as well. No complaints.

I just picked up a tub of Jack Black Supreme Cream, really happy with it. I had been using NY Shaving Co. Elizabeth St before and it was great as well.

I'm not one of those queers who worries about what others think when I do shite. (see the chubbies vs cargo shorts threads)I do it because it works best for me. That said, hear me out. I was out of shave gel and the only thing laying about was my SO's stuff called Coochy Creme (no pics). shite is legit, especially if you have hard water at your place, and its all I use now. Cleanest shave I get and moisturized to hell and back. Follow up with Cade after shave balm and you're golden, ponyboy.

There is a product called BARC too. It now is used for razor bumps and ingrown hairs. It is similar to what you are talking about. Good for head shavers and now is used by black men as well.

41 here Jeeves. I'm all growed up. Married too so it ain't about poon no more. Use "cheap shite" if it makes you happy. You are STILL cheating yourself though. You can go cheaper and better. Ivory Soap is praised by many. Use in shower with any razor. Rub the bar on your wet face and shave away. Starts to run out just rub more on your face. Like a stick of deodorant. If you don't trust the slickness, try jerking off with it first.

For me changing how I shave is all about ME. Nobody else. If anyone asked me I would bore them if they want to listen. But really it is all about making what used to be a chore I would put off until I looked like a convict into something I enjoy doing.

Beards and handlebar mustaches are more "look at me" pretentious than any shaving really.
