0. Mine usually look pristine for some reason. Must be my perfect gaming hands and calm and cool mind under heavy pressure.

I broke one playing NCAA a few years ago. I had the lead and the ball with time running out. If I were almost anywhere on the field, I would have taken a knee. But I was like on the 2, and I wanted to punch in one more score. Of course I fumbled, and they scooped and scored on the 98 yard return as time ran out and I lost. That controller didn't have a chance.

I also have a friend who got so pissed off playing SNES that he tied the controller to his bumper and drove it around town, dragging it on the street.

I can't believe that, as adults, people get mad enough over video games to actually break things.

No worse than adults getting mad over a sporting event.

The difference is that when most people get mad over sports they just yell and complain about it online. Granted, some people still break stuff if their favorite team loses or if they've bet a lot of money on a game. But, as an adult, you should have enough self control not to break 60 dollar controllers just because you got shot in Call of Duty or if a team loses.

I agree but people still do it. My point is just that it goes beyond games. I'm guilty of slamming things down at work from time to time.

Think I have had one die on me. No destroyed controllers.

Back in the day, I had to fix my atari controller about 100 times because the button wouldn't work or one of the directions wouldn't work. So I would open it up and stack little pieces of paper under the buttons to help make contact with the smushed down parts.

Couple of NES and couple of SNES as a kid. None as an adult.

Get off your high horse. Everybody gets angry from time to time, and video games and sports are a way for many people to relax and/or vent their anger. Better to break a controller than someone's face.

You shouldn't keep all that stress bottled up inside. It's not good for you long term.

There are healthier, less destructive and more productive ways to relieve stress and vent anger than breaking things that you own or punching somebody in the face.

Also, breaking a controller sounds like you're getting even more stressed out, not relieving it.

Exactly, which is why I drink heavily and pick up prostitutes.

Such as...? And how do they compare on efficiency? Wasting time is a huge stressor for me.

You might be surprised at how much stress it melts away. Plus my wife found the A button a couple weeks later and I had a good laugh over it.

Don't use controllers, but I am surprised that a couple of my mice took the abuse they did without breaking.
