Got Ipad 2 for gf for Christmas but of course its not working correctly

I purchased on amazon used. Said very good condition and everything worked. Get it in the mail yesterday and turned it on. It doesn't show the WiFi anywhere in my house. Checked online saw some issues with this model. I am pretty sure I can return through amazon but just wondering if anyone else has or had this issue with the iPad 2 second generation?

Try connecting manually and see what errors if any appear

She been wanting one forever. She just needed it to show how clients photos after she does her photography sessions. She is a photographer on the side. Got the pad so she could just throw the photos in her I cloud then just pull them up on her iPad. This thought has been comprised now.

Well, that makes it even worse.

Well frick you guys now I feel like shite about my purchase might just send back anyway and get the iPad 4 or higher. Price gotta be right tho.

My computer illiterate mother has an iPad 2 and has had zero issues.
I hope your gf's camera has wireless capabilities. The iPads don't have memory card slots.

You bought a used iPad 2, I'm guessing your budget is the problem. Not trying to rip on you, but if you're trying to do this for $200 or less you may need to look into the next size down. A retina iPad mini (not the first generation mini) or something like a Google Nexus 7. If the purpose is to show professional photography you can't cheap out on the screen.

Cause i have replaced the screen on two ipad 2s and the process prettymuch kills the antenna if you arent some sort of incredibly skilled surgeon.
Chances are it got damaged if it was replaced.

At this point the 3rd gen ipads (the first ones with retina) are going for less than $200. If the iPad 2 is anything over $100 it's a ripoff.

My company gave me an ipad2 as a gift and I took it straight back to best buy after work that day and got $768 or so in store credit.. The ipad3 came out like a week later and the ipad2 prices plummeted.
I bought a gas range for the same amount and 4 years later it's still hands down the best appliance I've ever bought... It was a $1500 GE unit on sale.

Eta in a funny twist my wife won an ipad2 about a month later at one of those free Ruth's chris tech lunches I always get invites for. She still uses it.
