Certainly seems like it's possible, but as others have said, he'll play a lot

Valentine isn't going to do anything but sit in a lot of reserve PT next year. He hasn't even seen what it's like to stand up against another college lineman
This years (LSU) SEC offensive line in practice all season???

Has anyone EVER lost a "starting" position under Les Miles that didn't because they were kicked off the team or suspended or something???

D.J. Welter and Jalen Collins say what it do.

Karnell Hatcher, Harry Coleman, Danny McCray, Jarrett Lee, T-Bob Hebert, JC Copeland, Curtis Taylor, Marlon Favorite, whomever was the punt returner in 2006 when we put Buster Davis back there, Kenny Hilliard, and Trey Quinn, just off the top of my head.

Except he's been practicing against our own OL all season...

There aren't many instances of a starter posing his spot and there shouldn't be. After watching hours of practice and miles of film, the good staffs usually get it right the first time. There are exceptions, of course.

I think Lacatoure was our most consistent DL in 2014, possibly excepting Hunter. Once Beckwith took over the Mike and picked up the position, we started shutting the run down cold.

No. He took ownership of the position this year. Should continue to progress and excel.

We're going to have four very solid DTs next season. That's been the recipe for our defensive success over the past decade.

It doesn't really matter who ends up starting. The best two will start.

One of the great things about that 2011 LSU defense was that they had 25 players getting snaps, and they could all play.

Anybody who can play WILL PLAY.

I'll let the millionaires decide who starts.

Valentine won't come in and dominate right off the bat. CL improved a lot and will be big for us next yr. DT is a hard position to come in right away and be a force. DG became a beast at the end of the year but had to take his lumps early on
