Coy is a very good friend of my dads.
He and Mrs Terri are very nice.

There used to be a racetrack on Airline near 73. And anyone remember Spinosa's Restaurant? It was an old place on 42, I think, they served thin fried catfish. No A/C, the whole place was screened like a porch.

Does this Coy guy walk down stairs with his hands in his pockets like a damn fool too?

Have a fond memory of the racetrack. I was there: New Orleans Pop Festival
Sadly, Janis Joplin died about a year later. Remember that too. Yes, I'm an old fart.

What about the Gonzales park and the "nature trail"? I heard it got cut down due to girls getting raped back there.

Did anybody else's great grandfather claim to own all the land on Airline but lost it in a poker game?

Coy is a good guy. Do you know Terri's son? Jamie James, a dam good motorcycle racer in his day.

I went to most of the races but was drafted when the music, drugs, & sex descended on the place.

The park is full of ball parks and tennis courts except for the part in the back. The trail is completely cemented walkway that extends all around the park. They cut down most of the trees. There ain't much "nature" left back there.

Most of the idiots going back & forth yesterday were EA 95, you probably know them. I was 94.

Maybe, maybe not. From their stories I don't really recognize them.
I was mostly drunk and high my senior year...Old man Braux hated me! He told me the day we picked up our cap and gowns that "you missed too many days to graduate, but I'm sick of hearing your excuses and want you out of here!"

Does anybody know where Main Street is in Gonzales?
Along New River Canal.

Better question, why would it be there?
This I have no logical answer for, you would think instead of calling 44 where it goes thru town Burnside, it would be Main St. The only thing of significance on Main St. was the Gonzales Country Club and it closed down so now there is really nothing unless you count The Carriage House.

It's where the founder of the town's house was.
