Does anyone have any fond memories of Ascension Parish back when it was rural? The area has changed so much since Katrina. I remember when the daiquiri shop on Airline in Gonzales was a Fast Track and Bubba's was next door.

Any old patrons of the Jungle House in here?
The old drive-in movie theatre?
Putt-putt next door to McDonald's?
Prarieville being nothing but trees and swamp?
Llama farm behind the St. Amant post office?

I remember when you could haul arse down the airline from G-town to BR, you just had to watch out for the cop that sat under the big live oaks in Pville.

Pasqua Theater, watch one of the Rocky movies there and maybe a Star Wars movie.

Hwy 44 before it was 4 lane and black bayou behind the house before it was dredged.

Burger Delight!

I moved away in 1992, moved back 5 years ago. Not the same place. Want to move to French Settlement now lol...

I remember being in the Music Box on Hwy 44 when someone ran in from outside yelling a man had a heart attack and fell into the urinal (which was a livestock water tub with a hose running into it and draining to the woods) he actually had too much to drink and passed out. The owner - late Bob Henderson and another man pulled him out and hosed him down - he got in his pickup and drove off. 1969 was the year. There was always some one fighting and some really old women - who was looking for one last ride.

EA is numba one
and Baker ain't shite!

My favorite chant by the Spartans surrounding our bus when we drove over there to play football. Then tackling Mule Train. Ouch.

I remember some a-hole had circus type animals on Henderson Bayou like 25-30 years ago.

Prairieville ain't nothing but titty bars and some other bar where Wal-Mart is today. What was that place called?

Old little league ballpark on Airline Hwy. just past the EBR line on the left.

I played there as a kid. Rowdy crowd for sure.

I grew up in Bluff Rd when only poor white trash lived there!! Used to ride our bikes from Bluff Rd to corner of 621/73 where the Superstop (Shell station) was to get baseball cards, a coke and fish bait!!

Best memory of that place was Freshman year at LSU(93) a buddy of mine and I went out there with his roommate(off his rocker roofer). Dude get's drunk as frick, get's cut off, and then demands a bouncer fight him in the parking lot. The bouncers two buddies come out as well and look at us like it was going to be 3 on 3. We said "hell no, let this drunk arse fight your bouncer if he wants to. We're just gonna watch"

Our guy gets the dog shite beat out of him in the gravel parking lot(rocks in his knees and shite). We all had a laugh afterwards and promised not to bring him back next Sunday.

ETA: Is Graces still around? I used to bang this chick from EA who was 18 when I was 17. She got me in that place a few times under age.
