if you're uptown, nola, there's a good chance it'll be at a pawn shop come 11am tomorrow afternoon. The hood rats have been hitting the ground hard this year. G'luck

I've got a lot of stuff in route, too. It's that time of year for us procrastinators of Christmas shopping to get concerned about our deliveries

But FedEx has a cooler image. And that's what matters.

This happened to me once. Tell them it was ammunition in the box. They will find that shite quickly.

Anyone got any stories of an issue like this being resolved?

Long story short, yes- similar situation that was resolved. Detailed explanation below.

I ordered something off Amazon Prime (value probably close to $25) with a similar story. I filed an online complaint/concern/flag through Amazon (under the "where's my package?" option). The following day I got an email from Amazon saying to call someone with the delivery service. Called them, they were asking where the house was, the address, description of house, etc, then said the driver would retrace his steps. Got another call later that afternoon that said they officially are calling it "lost" and will say so to Amazon. Called Amazon back, they told me to reorder the same package with overnight shipping and I wouldn't be charged for it (maybe they provided a special link/voucher? I don't remember specifically). I wound up opting for either no-rush or 2-day shipping since the projected days were so close (weekend threw off the 1-day deal and it was late at night or something to that effect). I left a note saying that, although the 1-day offer was generous and appreciated, I opted for a slower shipping in hopes to spare them unnecessary cost and because I wasn't really all that inconvenienced by the ordeal/it wasn't something I needed right away.

ETA: I think I filed a second "missing package" claim with them a year or so later, got an e-mail with how to proceed, only to find out that either my landlord who lives on the other side of the duplex or neighbor had picked up my package and placed in somewhere out of the ordinary, and it was 3-4 days passed the "delivered" stamp. I e-mailed them back and said I should have spoken with (landlord + roommate) first and apologized for wasting their time. They were very nice about it.

Had two bad experiences with FedEx in the past year.

First one was delivered to the wrong address. Paid extra to priority overnight it with a 10am delivery. Got confirmation that it was delivered but it wasn't. Received a call from a friend that owns a cell phone repair shop nearby saying that he got a package addressed to us. Thankfully it was delivered to someone that I knew. Otherwise the client would have been pissed.

Second one was coming from a warehouse in MS and had an expected delivery date of one business day. It wasn't as critical so I didn't do priority and saved money. I tracked it the next day and it had last updated leaving MS. It didn't come that day so I kept tracking it. The next day it was in Wisconsin. Then the expected delivery date was a week later. It finally showed up 10 days later and FedEx wouldn't do anything. Client was pissed that time.
