His interpretation is that it's not actually a kid while it's gestating. It's "a part of the womans body", thus you have no rights to it.

I've accepted abortion as a (twisted) part of our society, but the lack of any paternal rights in the process is infuriating, and the black and white interpretation by people like Rob is beyond ridiculous.

I 100% agree with your stance.

I only look at two things as black and white: rape and murder. Both are perfect 10s in my mind on morally unethical actions. Everything else would go anywhere from a 9.9 to a 1. I really don't like approaching the world in absolutes, and there's usually some sort of middle ground that can be reached.

Of all the crazy things people propose, I'd like to see the merits of this one debated. Why shouldn't fathers have some say over this kind of thing? Everyone sure as shite wants our input (in the form of dolla dolla bills, yo) when it otherwise comes to children.

Because they can't verify it's their kid.

That's why.

You can't verify a kid in utero? You sure?

ETA: I'll save you the trouble. You can. And pretty early on.

I wouldn't be able to verify it's mine.

The problem is how do you prove who is the father and who isn't, especially early on in the pregnancy when the baby should ideally be aborted (it's not ideal at all since it should have never been conceived in the first place, but no use crying over spilt seed at this point). She could come in with any dude who would agree to it and sign off. I'm just saying legislating it is a moot point since it's pretty much unenforceable.

Well medical professionals can. Procedure is probably a little invasive and would require the little woman's consent though.

No, you can't without risk of miscarriage and that pesky woman not being forced to test.

It's an extra step that costs money, and if a woman is such a whore that she can't find the father, is it a good thing for this baby to be born? I'd say if we do the math on what the kid will likely cost society, then we'll likely save millions just by getting the abortions. Solving crime is simple: stop having the tards spit out the tards!

Let's assume it wasn't a rape, and she wasn't forced to get pregnant in the first place.

Where does "women's choice" begin? Wherever it's most convenient to kill babies I guess.

We just did a 29 page homo thread and now comes an abortion thread.

This is exhausting.

You think it would be a good idea to let random men say they might be a father and force a woman to do paternity testing while she is pregnant?

Let me show you the looney bin where ever nut job conservative starts saying they are the dad and forcing women to get tested.

Women get to do what they want over their body when it comes to pregnancy.

Don't like it, don't frick randoms and get them pregnant.

Why not just smother them in their cribs. If you really want to cut down on crime, why not identify emotionally disturb and developmentally disabled children by age 4-7 and just euthanize them. Eliminate the little bastards in the foster system while we're at it. I can guarantee a considerable drop in crime and anti-social behavior.

Let's clean up the human race, I say.

If abortion is murder, there should be no say from anyone to begin with. How the hypocrisy of agreeing to a more amenable system of abortion from those who claim it is murder is seemingly going unnoticed here is truly beyond me.

Essentially, it is the equivalent of supporting legislation meant to limit the number of murders by requiring a certain number of people to sign off any given murder first. It is a position incompatible with the moral stance claimed by those supporting it.
