Not like Lean Cuisine but those awful Swanson etc.
I used to love the Mexican ones. I could go for one now. Sort of a reminiscent terrible food journey.

Yes, I have coworkers who eat those awful things. I'd rather have an apple and some peanut butter, but you'd be surprised at how many people have rigid ideas about what constitutes a "meal" (ie, meat, starch, veg). I think those old school TV dinners appeal to the "category" eater.

I don't know if Swanson still does them, but Banquet does
They're always $1.

every day is a party and every meal is a banquet

A comparison of actual banquet meals with their box cover photographs
The potatoes freak me out the most. They're icy textured. Weird.
I've never had powdered potato mix, but it is what I envision that tasting like.

These photo's make me very humble and appreciative for so many things.. A good reminder to appreciate what we've been blessed with.

I could eat one of those right now. Memory lane dining.

When I was a kid, I would do the one with the little slice of pizza and dip it in the chocolate pudding.

These are definitely shite, but Stouffer's still makes some decent ones IMO.

I lived off these things in college
TV dinners, totinos pizza, Taco Bell and beer. That's a diet.

I used to bring the five cheese ziti one to work when I was a student worker freshman year of college.
It had no meat, and it is kinda hard to screw up marinara, cheese, and noodles

I'll never grow out of Totinos.
