What's your go-to fresh sausage?Just curious. I make an hour-plus trip to Reserve to Don's Country Store because I'm convinced their's is the best.

I like Murray's in St. Amant. I've heard Ville Platte has some great places

Without being too specific, I used to play for the team she dances for. Beautiful girl.

There's 2 Veron's sausage brands. One is from a small grocery store/meat market in Lutcher. The other is mass produced and sold in mainstream supermarkets all over the region. I think Mathern's probably had the mass produced kind. As far as I know, you can't get the Lutcher store's product anywhere else but the one store in Lutcher..

This thread is about fresh sausage here Holmes.

Verons (river Parish foods and what you call mass produced) doesn't sell this--to the general public at least. Verons grocery store does.

Mathernes fresh sausage is my recommendation.

Correct.

My favorite fresh sausage is from Kens Deer Butcher Shop in Raceland. He sells fresh pork sausage at the Lafourche Market on weekends when hes not busy processing deer.

My good buddy is from Raceland and he swears that Ken's is the best.

Another legit place is Spuddy's in Vacherie

My Nonc says the same. He lives in Back Vacherie and used to cross the river to go to Verons to get his andouille. Now he gets it from Spuddys or from some man in Vacherie that only makes it twice a year and you have to order it in advance
