Got to be a sign of good things to come right?

Climber in oak bottom. Still way too many acorns around. Had something pass through before light, aggravating. Big buck only from here on out.

Living vicariously through all you guys in the field. Daughter's college graduation this weekend so no opp for me in the woods but I will be eating some deer meat. Looking forward to next hunt and to reading about all the bloodshed this weekend.

Good luck and be safe

Hunting private land in EBR parish. Still bow hunting...

Just shot a buck. Shot was a little high and not much penetration. Laid down about 30 yds from me with head up. After 2 minutes he stood up and I had a shot. Made what I think was a good shot and he took off. We'll see. First shot hurt him pretty bad but I don't know if it would kill him. Hopefully second shot finished him off. Shot at 6:30, giving him some time.
