Fenced property? Or the low fence piece?

I've hunted with one since I was about 13. You can't beat them. I'll just say I never have to track anything I shoot.

It's what the good guys shoot.

Rain stopped. Doves and squirrels eating. Move deer, move.

Just say back down in the blind with bow. Really glad I'm getting back into this as it will pass the time nicely to turkey season. At some point I may even try to blast a few of the woodies I've been hearing behind my setup.

Sitting inside the fence tonight, there is a spike that hangs around this area I'm hoping to blast.

Pops is sitting outside.

Well... No luck finding my buck. Followed pretty good blood for about 200 yds. Then it started drying up and we followed drops for another 200 yds until it totally dried up. Left and got at dog, followed the trail a little ways farther till the dog lost it....

Hate to lose one, just hope that he survives.

That sucks bro. I lost a doe this year. Go back in a few days and look for buzzards. Atleast you might can claim the rack.

Thought I made a good shot but not much penetration. Ended up seeing that it was high. He Laid down about 30 yds from me with head up. After 2 minutes he stood up and I had a shot. Made what I think was a good shot and he took off. Still don't know where I hit him, but could only see his front half. Found one arrow about 30 yds from where he laid. Found the second arrow at the end of the blood trail. Only found a few drops around the arrow. Had some fat on it about 4 inches up the arrow shaft.

Hope he lives.... We just couldn't search any farther. Thick cutover and no more blood.

Sorry to hear that. It's a bad feeling but happens to everyone some time or another.

Not a chance. The official caliber of the OB is the 243-08.
