Golden Globe-nominated actress Kirsten Dunst (Interview with the Vampire, “Spider-Man” films) and “Breaking Bad’s” Jesse Plemons have signed on to star in the second installment of MGM Television and FX Production’s Emmy and award-winning miniseries franchise “Fargo,” it was announced today by Eric Schrier, President, Original Programming, FX Networks and FX Productions and Steve Stark President, Television Production & Development of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios. Production will begin in Calgary in January 2015 and the 10-episode anthology miniseries is slated to premiere next fall on FX.
Emmy Award winning Executive Producers Noah Hawley (showrunner/writer), Joel & Ethan Coen, Warren Littlefield and John Cameron all return for the second installment. “Fargo” is produced by MGM Television and FX Productions. MGM Television serves as worldwide distributor of the series.
Dunst will play Peggy Blomquist, a small town beautician with big city dreams who is trying to figure out who she really is and what she really wants as she struggles with traditional societal expectations. She shares her home with her husband Ed (Plemons), a butcher’s assistant, who wants to be supportive of his wife’s self-discovery, even if he doesn’t quite understand it.
“Fargo’s” new chapter, which will unfold over the course of 10 episodes, will travel back to 1979 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota and Luverne, Minnesota, where a young State Police Officer “Lou Solverson” (yet to be cast), recently back from Vietnam, will tackle an all new “true crime” case. Solverson’s wife, Betsy, (yet to be cast) their four-year-old daughter, Molly, (yet to be cast) and fellow officer, Ben Schmidt, (yet to be cast) will also be featured in the new installment.
An adaptation of the classic Academy Award-winning feature film of the same title by Joel & Ethan Coen, FX’s first installment of “Fargo” received 18 Emmy nominations – the second-highest total of any program on television this year – and won three awards, including Outstanding Miniseries; Outstanding Directing for a Miniseries, Movie or Dramatic Special (Colin Bucksey); and Outstanding Casting for a Miniseries, Movie or Special (Rachel Tenner).

That dude was great as Todd or, as Jesse called him, that "dead-eyed Opie looking mother fricker."
The first season was some of the best stuff on regular TV. Looking forward to see who else is cast.

That is all she's got. She will look like Cameron Diaz soon.

Jesse Plemons (Todd) looks like he'd be PERFECT for a show like Fargo. He can be serious but can also be just as goofy.

So they're the criminals I assume?

Look, I absolutely love Breaking Bad but I'm going to argue that Jesse Plemons should always be referred to as Landry if you are going to use one of his characters. Love that he is joining Fargo.

Who plays Marge Gunderson?

BTW, I'm usually not attracted to bigger girls, but I admit to developing a little crush on Molly.
