I have a friend whose son played under Leach. He was there during the James duo debacle. Craig James would disrupt practice constantly, always showing up on the field. James is nothing but a bitch and the majority of that electrical closet story was fabricated.

Wow.
oh it was ridiculous. adam james wandered into an electrical closet and took a video of being in there. he thought it was "funny".
had leach cut him like he wanted to, he'd still be at texas tech. he said in his book that he thought he could guide adam and mold him into a man and maybe a better player. he gave him the benefit of the doubt. his biggest mistake.
all of the players went to bat for leach but craig james had ESPN on his side and they smeared leach in the court of public opinion.

hal mumme and leach went into tiger stadium in 1998 and beat LSU. there's a chapter on it in his book. great read.

They did? Where? When?
In his book he makes an unverified claim. His book is only his side. As I said, I dont like him nor think he is a solid HC. But I have not seen anything ever than 2 players say anything.
Have they ever fully found out what happened to Wilson at Wazzu?
That is 2 accusations at 2 different schools.

Unlikely since the game was in Lexington and they lost. You're probably thinking of the Couch 1998 game.

umme’s close relationship with Leach also prompted him to take some hard shots at former SMU star Craig James in 2011.

Evidently, Craig James hired Merrie Spaeth of Spaeth Communications to orchestrate a smear campaign over the web in an attempt to to smear Leach. There's evidence to back it up.

I'm guessing since he was quoted as using "an" that he must have called CJK5H an "arse."

I have and no he isnt. Hal Mumme is Saban with the "Spread"
The offense is simple compared to the Veer or the Wing T.

Everyone loves up on Mumme, but Leach's accomplishments dwarf Mumme's. The student (and really equal if you believe what they both say about their relationship) has become the master.

The issue is that they took some of Iowa/KState's Miller Snyder offense and incorporated it. That is why I say Mumme over Leach.
They also put in some of the Fun n Gun from Spurrier. As Stoops had a hand in the offensive vision at OU.

As I am thinking about it more, I guess expanding the Offense could make him Saban like.
But for Coog High I think a guy like Tim Beck former OC at Nebraska would be great.
He has ties to Texas, Arizona. Totally rebuilt two downtrodden High Schools to winners. Worked as OC at multiple schools, worked in Big XII at KU. Worked on Defense as he was a Defensive GA at Illinois St and K State. Has ties to the Stoops, as he went to Cardinal Mooney. He is not old maybe 46? 47?

In terms of designing the offense.
If you want to go by winning percentages you have to probably say Chip Kelly or Rich Rod.
And I should call it the Air Raid as that is what they call it.

I don't know that much about Beck so I'll take your word for it. But it will be interesting to see who Houston hires.
