Why are people assuming that if OSU gets in, it would be TCU, not FSU, out?

OSU should jump FSU, but TCU should still be in. A 2 point victory vs a team that sliced and diced your defense all day is far less impressive than a 52 point victory over a team favored to beat you.

FSU is unbeaten, AND the defending National Champions. They deserve a chance to defend their title.

Because FSU isn't getting left out?

Because FSU is undefeated and defending undefeated national champions?

Because if an undefeated Power 5 conference champ, who is also the only undefeated team in consideration, is left out of the playoff, the playoff committee members will have to go into the witness protection program.

If I were a gump I'd want to get that matchup against FSU too

Nope.

Baylor beat TCU, have the same record and won their conference.

You're not really this dumb are you?

13-0, ACC champion, 29 wins in a row.

The question was why we'd assume FSU is in and TCU out. I think an undefeated reigning national champion is impossible to leave out.

An undefeated Power 5 conference champion being left out of a 4 team playoff consisting of one loss teams would be the greatest disaster in college football history. I dont care how close they got to losing, how shitty their schedule is, or how much I personally hate Jameis Winston. I would vote them in without a second thought, and hope they get crushed by whoever plays them

29 straight wins. No loss to Baylor, or WVU, or Ole Miss, or Arizona or fricking Virginia Tech.

They absolutely have the best case to be in.

And I hate them.

If we're picking one team or even two? Sure.

Picking four? Yeah, being undefeated AND the defending champs most certainly should count in their favor since this is an arbitrary committee anyway.
