This is not meant provoke anyone, it is just an honest question how someone can despise Miles so bad and just continue to come on TD to battle with other posters. I am not saying you should like him, but after you speak your opinion; why keep coming back to argue? Do you think that it is going to change Miles or anyone for that matter? Do you like to argue? If I despised something or someone like many on here seem to with Miles, I wouldn't want to talk or post about it everyday unless I could do something to change it.

I get being "frustrated with a call" or "sticking with a player" or whatever. I do not like everything he does for sure, but I can't understand why anyone would want to come and constantly get into blogging altercations. Reading all the posts surrounding the possibility of him leaving was laughable because people just make hypothetical crap up and other people react so intensely to made up crap. It's just sad in my opinion.

I am not Miles hater or do I think he is perfect. I am not sold he should go or stay, there is a risk on both sides of that coin. All I know is you are what your record is, he has had a pretty damn good run. If he stays, I hope that run continues or improves. If he leaves then I hope they find the right guy to keep things going.

The defenders are just as bad, if not worse...especially the notorious ones. They feel like they have to set the record straight every time they see a post they disagree with.

Then I question why you use language like "despise". I have seen few if any on this forum that despise Les. A great many, rightly or wrongly, do not want him as our football coach. But there is a vast difference between that and hatred.

Dude is not a great coach but he can recruit and the overall team talent is the reason I personally fill they win any games. I would bet anyone to admit a time that they can say thanks to Miles play calling, scheme or adjustment was the reason LSU won a game and don't give me the trick plays either.

Some people thrive on online conflict because they are passive in real life. Used to be me.

He might not be 'the best' but Miles is a great coach.

I agree the sunshine pumpers are pretty annoying as well. Esp when they can't see a glaring issue.

I used "despised" because there are a pretty fair amount of personal attacks that leads me to believe he is hated by them. Maybe that word is not accurate, but whatever you want to call the constant emotionally charged posts just seem pointless. Once again, just curious why.

you do know that over 85% of the negatigers can outcoach any coach - Miles, Payton and Nicky examples - they just hang on this board for entertainment - they could walk away and start coaching a Tulane to a NC in one season - they know their shite.

I don't hate miles. I just think that he makes knucklehead decisions. I truly believe that we should have at least one more nc. in fact, the 06 team was the best I ever saw in my lifetime.

I've been on this board for over 7 years and there are many here that do nothing but bash the coach, staff, and/or players.

they're miserable people

I see a lot of criticism of things like coaching decisions, game planning, etc. but truly don't recall any that reached a personal level. I think the vast majority of both Miles supporters and detractors would agree that on a personal level Les is a very good human being.

I'll say this though. The fanbase is to a large degree polarized with each side trying to convince the other that they are wrong. It's really no different than a political argument. Both sides want what they think is best for the program, they just differ on what "best" is. These debates aren't going to change very many minds from one camp to the other. It's a waste of time and energy. But debates such as those are the very reason forums such as this exist.

Thanks for the definition of forum, but I am educated enough to get that. Your definition doesn't really provide any useful information regarding why people want to come here just to get emotionally charged repeating the same thing regarding their disgust about CLM as a coach.

So it's Miles fault for the 32 loses he has but no of his doing for the 103 wins he has..........do you know what the words being irrational mean???? If you don't your statement above is spot on.

From my standpoint, he seems to be a legitimate great person and I don't think anyone would argue that fact, but he just isn't getting what people want out of the football program. I think most of the critics, which I admit that I am a miles critic, don't have a problem with him personally but with the way product he puts on the field. Specifically the offense. The defensive play of most of his teams has been very good, but he isn't a defensive coach and we all know he doesn't stick his hand in the defense because that isn't his thing. He's ran the same old tired arse offense ever since the Jarrett Lee interception fiasco and seems scared to ever let the offense be turned loose again. That's what people are tired of and its pretty obvious that if he hasn't opened it up after he lost a national title chance because of that shite arse offense he tries to run then he never will. Realistic people see this and know that it will not change as long as he is at the helm. So, in order for anything to change, Miles will have to move on and LSU can get a coach that isn't scared to expand on offense. The pumpers just try to ignore the fact that the offense is only gettig worse year after year because other teams know before we even start the game what they have to do. We just have enough talent that some teams can't stop and we pound them into submission, but we always lose games because of it as well and that will be the story as long as he is the coach.

While I don't disagree with everything you say, it appears you only remember what you want. You said Les is afraid to "open" the offense up and the offense gets worse every year. Last year we had a 3000 yd passer, 2 1000 yd receivers, and a 1000 yd runner; if that is not opened up then I am not sure what is.

I do think he is gun shy and regrets how he handled the JL situation based on how he is handling other young QB's. Is that the right thing??? Not sure. Is it frustrating to see our offense production this year? Hellz yeah! He is ultimately responsible for the entire team, he should get the blame and the credit.

You are what your record is!!

No one hates or despises CLM. They simply love our school and want us to have the best available. Not someone who came into a superior program and loses crucial games and does not live up to our potential with phenomenal talent. btw, why is BD Peveto coaching at LSU. Special teams were really lacking this year.
