Hollinger's PRs usually get more and more accurate the longer the season wears on, don't they?

Exactly right. His formula is very flawed. I love his playoff odds that have the Thunder with like a 3 percent chance to make the playoffs. The formula don't account for injuries obviously.

Yes. It's really pretty pointless for him to publish them so soon, but they get ESPN clicks. He doesn't even work for ESPN anymore. They just write him checks for the formula.

McHale is clearly COTY so far. I honestly thought if you lost 1 of the 2 stars you'd be closer to a .500 team. Was also completely wrong on Ariza/Parsons.
Statistically, AD is the MVP so far. Factor in records, if the season ended today you'd have to give it to Harden. Can't wait for 17-18 when he teams up with AD in NOLA to win a title.

I know it confused the heck out of me to still see the Hollinger PRs on the site after he went to work for MEM

You spelled Houston wrong, but agreed.

They've looked great. Definitely look like a top 3 or 4 seed in a stacked West.

Rockets are maybe the 5th best team in the west.

Boom you wanted me to make you a signature and this is what I came up with. I figure you will see it in this thread.

Right now Memphis, Golden State, San Antonio and Portland all have better odds to come out of the West. Houston and Dallas are pretty close, then there's a drop off until OKC or LA gets their shite together.

Allow me to rephrase:
All four are better teams than the Houston Rockets.

I'm not convinced. The Rockets injury free look like world beaters this year.

Yet, the rockets have already beaten 3 of those 4 teams. 4 of 5 If you add Dallas, and all with a depleted, injury riddled roster. And they are the only team in the league that have beaten 4 of the top 5 in the west.
I guess "better" is certainly subjective, because the records and head to head seem to say otherwise.
But you could be right. They might get worse when 60% of the starting lineup returns. Sounds legit.

That's what's so ridiculous. The Thunder being an obvious team not accounted for properly, and the Rockets with a good chunk out as well. We beat the damn Grizzlies without Dwight Howard, AND the Kings. Yet, even when the Kings lose 4 in a row it doesnt work out. I do think the numbers should get more accurate as more data becomes available, but even so, the Minn Twolves were in the top 10 of these rankings 80% of last season.....

I'm still waiting for us to go back to that logo. I think its almost inevitable.

And apparently the owner really likes the current uniforms and logo. So it's probably not going to change any time soon.
One thing I notice is that in the stands, so many fans are wearing red and yellow as opposed to red and white. Even the organization embraces the old yellow color:
So I can see a move back to the old colors in the future... but the old logo looks kind of out-dated.
